Bob and Joyce Newton founded Hoosier Racing Tire in Indiana in 1957, and Bob's short-track racing gave the company its name. Continental bought it in 2016. Hoosier builds tires for competition, including the TrackAttack Pro, TrackAttack Race R8 and R7.

he Hoozier R7 is an autocross and race track tire. They can also be utilized in some road racing environments. The Hoosier A7 provides excellent response in cornering and control. The are designed to provide less degradation during the tire life and are capable of being mounted on either side of the vehicle. The R7 is not intended for use on the highway.
